most people are familiar with the lord's prayer (also known as the our father prayer) found at matthew 6:5-15, although verses 5-8 do not show us how to pray, but how not to pray. what we are considering is how to pray, and what the prayer we are taught means. the part in this episode of the kingdom series of my blog is from matthew 6:9, which reads:"You must pray, then, this way:
"'Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. first what we will consider is, "what is that name"? we can find the answer to that in the best place to learn about god, the bible, the scripture is Psalms 83:18, which reads:"That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the most high over all the earth". some translations of the bible still say:"whose name is THE LORD", but this scripture was cleary put here to show us that Jehovah God wants his name to be known and used, that is why he inspired his servant to write it.
some say......
