technology always advances along these lines. napster begat itunes. limewire begat online movie sites. torrents have brought a surge of information that has yet to be copied by the corporate structure. eventually, facing extinction, they will stop quibbling among themselves and commit to a central location and source to access *everything*
but we already have it.
