Hey all,
Creeper here, I wanted everyone that has the 3rd installation screen problem in Vista to know you arent umm werent alone. I officially got my copy of Ultimate installed (Finally) after troubleshooting for a couple days and almost giving up. The following is the Fix.
Issue: IRQ_NOT_EQUAL_OR_LESS Error, Memory Dump blah blah blah
First of all, Before you start the installation follow these steps exactly:
1. Turn on the computer
2. Press DEL while the PC is first booting up
3. Once in the BIOS screen goto your memory (RAM) options
4. More then likely your RAM's Bus speed will be set to Auto change that to 533mhz or lower No matter what speed your RAM is.
5. Save Changes and restart
6. Put the Vista disc in
7. Install Vista as normal
8. Your done!
I had so many problems with Vista's RAM Checker that occurs during the 3rd install screen......
