There is an old saying: "The Thais are the nicest
people money can buy” and, strangely, Thais are often the first to agree with
this.
Some Pros and Cons.
Money: Things can be really cheap, including fantastic food.
That said, there is someone on every corner and in almost every store that is
trying to rip you off. Thais love money and if they can rip you off they often
have that sentiment that it's your fault because you were so freaking stupid.
Being generous with money is often interpreted as outrageous stupidity because
you could have got what you wanted for less. But this is not universal.
Thai women: Prostitution is rampant and institutionalized in
Bangkok. You can get women to do anything for a price or you can meet modest
real girls who will want to be married first and really in love who are very
conservative. They have fully legal "blow job bars" that's right guys
go to a titty bar and get all horned......
