When I first came to Bulgaria it was with no business plan at all, The idea was for a single house for me and my family. This soon all changed and now at 50 I find myself with lots of new challenges, lots of excitement and may I say some major disappointments, but its all part of business so does not worry me too much.

I thought basing myself and my plans around one village the sensible thing to do, and it has worked, that village is Exarch yosif, 35 kilometres out from Ruse on the main Sofia highway. There are now 30 British people who have bought there after me. Some have bought there to live, some for investment and some for holiday homes. Whatever their reasons its so nice to be able to see the village have a new lease of life, indeed many Bulgarians are now renovating their own houses now because of the new influx of people.

I love this village, its people are warm and friendly as they are in all other villages, we have a good sound relationship with the mayor, I employ many......
