Hello Fellow Cometers!
I'm still just a recruit on BitComet, and I'm hoping that someone could please give me with some info on the things that I'm having trouble figureing out on my own.
After most things finish downloading on BitComet, I've noticed that the file will upload.
Where exactly is it uploading my file? To the BitComet torrent site?
I downloaded a movie, which was 684.21MB, and it has downloaded completely. I've let the upload continue periodically through out different days of the week. I checked out the summary, below the download screen, and it says at the bottom that I have uploaded 851.34MB.
Shouldn't the upload be equal to the download in size?
My second question is, what is seeding? What does it mean when I see, 0/21[17/440]? What do all of those number symbolise?
Also, why do the numbers for the percentage of health reach such obscenely high amounts? (ie. like 4404%?) When I first got BitComet, I seen that it said 100% health and I thought, well that's good, but apparently not. You know, technically ere is no greater percentage that 100%. Can anyone explain the high percentage health to me?
Those are my main questions. I also want to know if anyone can suggest to me a good, and FREE conversion program, to convert the .avi files to something that will be smaller in size, and take up less room on my computer and fit on to a DVDR.
Any other tips, or pointers that anyone else that's reading this might think I would be happy to know, please tell me! Pass it on.
I don't know if anyone else will agree with me, but I find BitComet really un-self explanatory. It kind of just tells you what it's doing in one word, and then when something goes wrong a simple pop up comes up saying that there was......
