Yes, I had big problems with netgear too and chucked the router in the end - now I'm running on a Thomson......
have recently read somewhere ,cant think where exactly but apparently bitcommet has a compatabilty issue......

I tried to minimize the download and upload rate but in vane I even reduced both......
