Hello there...it has been a long time since i last posted something....
well straight to the point, this a movie entitled Evil Dead directed and produced by Sam Raimi, also the producer of the Spiderman movies. As the title suggest, it has something to to with something that is dead and being evil...
@_@...anyway, this movie has three parts to it, the first being Evil Dead I, followed by Evil Dead II : Dead By Dawn and Evil Dead III : Army Of Darkness...
by the way, i'm not a very big fan of horror movies but i decided to watch this three movies on one fine day. i knew about this movie when i was very young but was not allowed to watch it by my parents for the reason of being too scary and cruel...
well, i'm a big boy now and i suddenly just felt like watching it...(^^)
EVIL DEAD I
the evil dead starts with 5 college friends going on a holiday to a house...erm...i dunno where..lol, but the place look run down and deserted. things started to turn bad when they discovered the book of death...where they awaken the demons. ash's(Bruce Campbell) sister was raped by trees 
and later one by one of them were being possessed. well i do not want to talk so much about the story line. the thing about this film is that it is very gory as it involves a lot of bashing and chopping
and stuffs that you can see in horror movies nowadays. honestly it is not really scary at the begining but as it goes on, blood splashes everywhere...
however, i'm impressed with the graphical effects as the film was produced in 1981!!! more than twenty years ago
PLOT
Five Michigan State college students venture into the woods to spend a weekend in an isolated cabin. There they find the Book of the Dead (a separate Babylonian text in the film, unrelated to the Egyptian text) otherwise known as the "Noturam Demondo" or Morturom Demonto (renamed Necronomicon in the sequels, which shows an H. P. Lovecraft influence).
While searching the basement of the cabin, the students find and play a tape recording of demonic incantations from the book, unwittingly resurrecting slumbering demons that thirst for revenge. The characters are then possessed one by one, beginning with Cheryl (Sandweiss) after she is brutally raped by the trees, by the evil force in sequences of intense, bloody violence and horrifying voice-overs. Cheryl makes it home to the cabin but nobody believes her. Ash then decides to drive her into town where she can stay the night. Upon nearing the bridge they discover it is completely destroyed and the supports are bent into the shape of a hand. Soon after, Cheryl becomes a demon and stabs Linda in the ankle with a pencil. They lock her in the cellar, but soon after Shelly becomes possessed and attacks Scotty who dismembers her with an axe. They wrap the dismembered body-parts in a blanket and bury them, after which Scotty leaves to find a trail out of the woods.
Ash goes to check on Linda, but also finds her to be possessed. Scotty returns but he is mutilated by trees, but before losing consciousness he tells Ash there is a trail in the woods. After Linda and Cheryl trick Ash by returning to normal, Ash is forced to drag her outside. He goes back to check in on Scotty, but he dies. Linda later returns and tries to stab Ash, but she falls on the dagger. Ash drags her outside to cut her up with a chainsaw, but seeing the necklace stops him from doing it, so he buries her. Unfortunately, she arises from the grave and Ash cuts her head off with a shovel. The head soon comes back to life and taunts him, and the body gets up to chase Ash back to the cabin. Ash returns to find the cellar door flown open. Cheryl jumps at the window and tries to break in. Ash shoots her, but she doesn't die. Ash then proceeds to barricade both the front and back doors. Ash then runs back into the cellar to find a box of shotgun shells and experiences a strange series of events including the cellar filling with blood and hearing things in his mind. Cheryl tries to attack Ash through the door, but he shoots her and then slides a bookshelf in front of the door and Scotty's body leaps up. The two then begin to viciously attack Ash. Suddenly, they begin to scream, and smoke starts to rise from their bodies, as Ash realizes that The Book of the Dead has fallen into the fireplace. He grabs it and throws it into the flames. The demons stop and begin to rot away as dawn breaks, finding Ash to be the only survivor. He heads outside and stands there for a while, thinking he has survived the ordeal; but the evil "force" runs him down. EVIL DEAD II:DEAD BY DAWN
the evil dead 2 starts without really continuing from the 1st part of the movie and is not a remake of the 1st movie. for legal reasons, Sam Raimi, the producer cant use clips from the 1st film to show a recap from the 1st film...so, he shot some short clips this time is only Ash and his girlfriend (a different actress playing the role). the continuation from Evil Dead I start when Ash is standing alone out side the cabin....
what i like more about the second film is i felt that there are more comedic acts compared to the 1st where it is all just involves elements of shock...
i particularly like a scene where Ash is dancing 
with the table lamp...
well, the Evil Dead II is about Ash destroying the demon with the help of the professor's(who found the book of the dead) daughter.....
there stil many dismembering in this film and it ends with Ash being sent to the past....
a possessed hand of Ash
PLOT
Ash Williams and his girlfriend Linda take a romantic vacation to a seemingly abandoned cabin in the woods (which is all just basically a recap of the first film to catch viewers up with the plot). While in the cabin, Ash plays a tape of an archeology professor (the cabin's previous inhabitant), reciting passages from the Necronomicon (or "Book of the Dead"), which he has discovered during an archaeological dig. The recorded incantation unleashes an evil force which kills and later possesses the body of Linda. Ash is then forced to sacrifice his girlfriend for his own safety. After he buries and dismembers his girlfriend, a spirit is seen on the hunt for Ash.
It is here that the film picks up where its predecessor left off. Ash becomes briefly possessed by the demon, but when day breaks the spirit is gone, and Ash is back to normal. Ash finds little chance of safety, however, as the bridge leading to the cabin is destroyed. To make things worse, Ash is forced to sever his right hand, which has become possessed.
While Ash is dealing with this force, the professor's daughter, Annie, and her research partner, Ed, return from the dig with more pages of the Necronomicon in tow, only to find the destroyed bridge. They enlist the help of Jake and Bobby Joe to guide them along an alternate trail to the cabin. The four of them find an embattled Ash, who is slowly being driven insane due to his encounter with the evil force. In a memorable scene, Ash hallucinates that inanimate objects are laughing insanely at him.
At first, he is mistaken for a murderer by the four people because he shoots at them through the door. Ed is possessed and is soon killed by Ash. Bobby Joe tries to escape, but is attacked by the trees. Ash is possessed once again and throws Jake against a tree, knocking him unconscious. Annie retreats to the cabin and accidentally stabs Jake and drags him to the cellar door where he is killed by Henrietta, Annie's mother who was possessed by the Evil Force and buried by Professor Knowby, who didn't have the heart to dismember his wife and thus let her rest in peace. Ash tries to kill Annie, but returns to normal when he finds Linda's necklace.
Ash, with Annie's help, modifies the chainsaw and attaches it to where his right hand had been. They eventually find the pages of the Necronomicon and Annie chants an incantation that sends the evil force back to where it came from. The incantation opens up a whirling temporal portal which not only draws in the evil force, but nearby trees, the Oldsmobile, and Ash himself. Ash's possessed hand stabs Annie with the Kandarian dagger.
Ash and his 1973 Oldsmobile land in what appears to be the Crusader-held middle-east in the year 1300 A.D. He is then confronted by a group of knights who initially mistake him for a deadite, but they are quickly distracted when a real one actually shows up. Ash blasts the harpy-like deadite with his shotgun and is hailed as a hero who has come to save the realm, at which point he breaks down and screams into the credits. (taken from wikipedia)
EVIL DEAD III:ARMY OF DARKNESS
the final part of the Evil Dead trilogy....hahaha
apart form being a horror movie, its actually a comedy with lots of laugh to offer (that applies to me...i don't know about others)...
the story starts with Ash falling from the sky and was captured.....
anyhow, this movie is about Ash retrieving the book of the dead to enable him to return to his original time frame.....
if you are too scared to watch the first 2 films, i suggest to watch this as it is very humurous
...i especially enjoy watching Ash versus Ash...you'll get what i mean after watching it...
PLOT
The protagonist, Ash, who discovered the Necronomicon ex Mortis[1], or "Book of the Dead", that unleashed demonic forces in the previous films The Evil Dead and Evil Dead II, is sucked into a time vortex with his Oldsmobile, an event caused by reading the spell to defeat the demons. He ends up in a medieval land around 1300 AD ("As near as I can figure"), where he is believed to be the "Hero From The Sky", the man destined to deliver salvation to mankind from the "Deadites", or the undead, as is told at the end of Evil Dead II. The plot, though, alters somewhat between the ending of Evil Dead II and the beginning of Army of Darkness.
Instead of being praised, Ash is at first believed to be one of Duke Henry's men, a Scottish people at war with the English knights who find him. Ash is enslaved, his gun and chainsaw confiscated, and is taken to a castle. A priest keeps Ash's weapons, believing the "strange one" to be a redeemer, foretold in prophecy to be the one who shall deliver mankind from the terror of the Deadites. Ash is thrown in a pit where he fights off a Deadite, regains his weapons, and uses his "boomstick", a Remington double-barreled shotgun, to frighten the inhabitants of the kingdom into helping him return to his own time.
The only way to return to his time and stop the Deadites, according to the priest who gave Ash back his weapons, is to retrieve the Necronomicon - which contains both spells. Ash is supposed to speak a mysterious phrase when he takes the Necronomicon. While preparing for this, Ash becomes romantically involved with a local woman, Sheila.
Ash then journeys for the Necronomicon, along the way passing into a haunted forest. Some unseen creature pursues Ash through the woods, which the camera shows from the creature's point of view. At one point the camera passes between two trees, and a face (or perhaps a mask) appears on the lefthand tree. It is unclear what the face is about, but interviews with Raimi suggest that there is no particular significance to it.
While running from the unseen creature, Ash ducks into a windmill where he crashes into a mirror. The small reflections of Ash climb out from the shattered mirror and torture him. After knocking him unconscious and tying him down, one of the little Ashes dives down his throat. Ash attempts to kill the little Ash by drinking boiling water, but before any effect can be assumed, "Evil Ash" begins to split off from his right shoulder. Ash panicks and runs back out through the woods, where Evil Ash completely splits off of him. Ash shoots Evil Ash in the face, slices him to bits with his chainsaw, and buries him alive.
When he arrives at the book's location, he sees three books instead of one. After a painful experience with the two fake books, Ash finds the real one. He attempts to say the words, but realizes he forgot them. Ash tries to trick the book by mumbling, but that re-releases the Evil Dead. He grabs the book and rushes back to the castle. During Ash's panicked trek back, Evil Ash rises from his grave and unites the deadites into the Army of Darkness.
Despite causing the predicament faced by the humans, Ash initially demands to be returned to his own time. When Sheila is captured by a flying Deadite, he becomes determined to lead the humans against the Deadite army. Reluctantly, the people agree to join Ash. Using scientific knowledge from the future, from chemistry and engineering books in the trunk of his Oldsmobile, plus enlisting the help of Duke Henry (whom Ash saved after his conflict in the pit), Ash successfully leads the humans to defeat the Deadites and save Sheila.
