Hi to everyone around the world.

I have been thinking and since I have no idea where to start, would like to seek opinions from anyone who knows something. Since I'm noob in these area.

Let's say I have a plan involving my future.

I would like to have a land of my own, my own house design built on it by the time I'm thirty-ish (maybe). Possible? How do I do it? Where? and What should I start looking into first?

Open my own tiny company? Would need to loan no?

Investments? Where? How? Too risky no?

Savings somewhere? Fixed?

So, I've got less than 8 more years to go.

The thing is I'm not too keen on paying installments or getting loans from the bank - though I know that is somewhat impossible.

Mainly because if I keep paying for something every month, makes me feel it'll never end. Who knows, I can't afford to pay for it even when I'm really old and wrinkly.

Or maybe you could tell me how you manage this for yourself.

Currently, I'm saving enough to live on (not much) and a new bike so I can be go for lessons and get a bike right after I pass. I recon by end of next year, I would have gotten my license and a bike. No installments whatsoever! That is, if i go through with it. If no, I get to keep my money.

Most of us were troulbed with these kind of trivias when we were growing up.

Take it easy, things will get better, work hard, and enjoy your life everyday.

I will always be making sure I'm enjoying life! Especially if the job I'm in is making me feel like all I do was work, eat and sleep - I leave. Not a good thing I know, but I'm fine now =)

Maybe you can invest in something, buy some stocks etc. You should also make a research about the cost and how much it will change in 8-10 years. What you want to do is not impossible actually it is lovely. Quite a lot of people have such plans but they are either not hardworking enough to realise them or life is too hard on them and they cannot make their dreams come true.

The best thing you can do is to talk with a specialist, think about the cost of doing such a thing and then make and save money.

Good luck!

I tried asking my brother about this but he was no help - obviously not a specialist.. guess he's discouraging me from it. Since now he made a loss and waiting for the money to get back to where he left with before he takes them out.

I may consider this if the time does come and I'm not wanted!

It took hubby and I 9 yrs of hard work and little spending to buy a place on cash only. But it's nothing like what you mentioned. We have a large flat that was just walls and nothing else when we bought it. What you're aiming for will probably take much more time, especially considering you are still a student. You should look into some solid investments. Be carefull and choose wisely after loads of research. Best bet is a solid bank or company share.

I wouldn't mind an apartment or a condo only if they is one that is worth buying - but people I talk to say it's not, might as well get a house (or something like that). I'm already working by the way, so maybe I'll live off my parents for 9 years or more to get my place. xD

Thx for the info!
