An impossible thing to attain but it is a dream.
I'll start randomly as I write.
My dream house would have hidden rooms! =D
You can't guarantee everything will be fine throughout your life right?
Who knows there would be a surprise war attack, sudden climate change (like that tsunami) or break-ins (hostage, etc). So by having this hidden rooms actually works. Maybe one that leads out the house in case you need to escape.
Or a basement filled with food supplies and candles - you never know. And the only way to get in is to lift up a panel in a corner of a tiny closet to walk down the stairs.
I live in a 2 storey house my whole life. Actually, I lived in a bungalow a few months before, sometimes I turn paranoid thinking people could just come in to the house easily to steal stuff or rape. Yea me and my imagination. So, bedroom must be on the top floor period
I love the look of dark wood. A patio made from dark wood would look purty don't you think? I don't know how it would look like yet. But I need to work around where smokers will throw away their cig butts. A generic ashtray in the middle of the table sounds and even looks boring for a 'dream house'.However, it's not so important now. Oh! A hardcore bbq pit!!! So friends can come over and hang out and chit-chat and drink. This leads to a fridge full of beer, alcohol and fizzy drink =D
Not to forget Citronella candles and those garden torches around the place for night time bbq.
Then, I'd want a huge big screen tv that covers the front part of the living room with surround sound system <3 For quality experience~ It would feel like as if you're in the movie!!
If it was possible, I want an underground garage so this way it wouldn't take much land space. It would be made in a way so that I can u-turn to drive out instead of reversing out to the road.
The kitchen would look 'normal' i guess. an island countertop in the middle with cabinets and stuff at the sides. The cinema screen television should be visible from where the kitchen is. So I can cook and watch tv at the same time. It's a habit I picked up in Australia. A must for food elevator. So if I ever have a maid, she can just send the food up to the "work/study/gaming room" without having to walk up.
There will be a guest room but it's not important how it looks like - yet. A laundry room with a washing machine, dryer and a place to iron clothes. If possible, the cinema screen television is visible from there =D If not, maybe just a radio somewhere.
Oh master bedroom wardrobe! I want a spacious walk in wardrobe. With music playing in there when the lights are on~ A full length mirror. Divide it - left side mine, right side boyfriend's (or maybe a corner if he don't have much). The location of the window for this room should neither be on the East or the West. Don't like the sun shining in my face when I can sleep in longer.
The bathroom would have the toilet and shower. Hygenic that way. Don't really find bathtubs useful so no need that. A cool looking sink that don't look like a normal basin. I'm still thinking if I want to have bathrooms in every bedroom. Because if I had kids, I don't want to let them have it easy. Who knows if a girl brought her boyfriend in to her room. He needs to clean up after some 'intimate activity'. What would he do!!!!!1!!111!1!111!!!
There is one part of the house. In front where you can look out at the road or some direction where it has a good view. I would want a circular window. The ledge inside would be wide enough for a person to lie on. So on rainy days, I could just sit there and zZz on when I have free time.
Lawl~ I would love to see someone come in to my house and figure out how ot operate all these things. It would be entertaining to watch.
I definitely won't have my house become something dependant on
electricity. Like an automatic tap water sensor thing or something. If
there was a blackout out - what can you do? There are just some things
you have to leave alone to make your life easier.
