Don’t touch that button! Don’t touch that button! Skeet Wang created the no-touch button for elevators. Why? Because he heard that the numbers of bacteria on elevator buttons are 3,500 per square inch, which are 17 times than the numbers of a toilet stool. So this no-touch button aims to prevent people from contagious illness.

The system is based on micro sensors mounted inside of each button. After they’ll “read” your fingertips, they will activate the order.

So good that someone thought about it. People should move fast and install this system in public places such as hospitals. But until then I hope that no one will develop some kind of thixophobia for elevator buttons.
