Help
There are 3 status lights in the right-bottom corner of BitComet software GUI. “Status light” mentioned in this passage refers to the third light, “BT Client Connection Status” light.
This status light alternates within 3 colors, green, gray and yellow. Each color has its own meaning.
1. Green
A green light means everything is perfect with your client connections. Your BitComet can communicate with other BT clients fluently and the download has a higher speed than any other status.
2. Gray
A gray light means your client can not reach other clients. Your client has to get data from other clients to continue the download which means you can not download anything with BitComet under this condition.
There might be several reasons which will cause this situation. (I can not imagine all the reasons. Forgive me if there is any one missed. )
3. Yellow
A yellow light means your client can reach other clients but other ones can not reach your client. Your can still download with BitComet in this case, but your speed can not be as high as in green light status.
The most possible reason of a yellow light status is that your pc is in an intranet. So you have to configure a NAT (Network Address Translation) for BitComet listening port on your gateway. Another reason is the firewall used by your system or your ISPs system blocked this port.
