hiya anybody reading these!! i have bitcommet verson 0.99 at the bottm of bitcommet where you have that your logged in next to it on the right is a DHT connected and i have a green light = ( all is good i think,) next to that is a yellow light with my ip address saying ( blocked )???? i can download its slow but it works, when i hover my curser over the yellow light is says my listening port is blocked, you can still download but speeds will be slow = thats my problem slow speeds top speed 60kbs. it goes on to say please check firewall or nat configurations?,,,, what is my NAT ? also i have 360 nortons i dont think that is doing much i can download and upload just slow, why do i have a yellow light for my ip address ? marks_@hotmail.co.uk, please any comments can you explain in english and not computor language, if possoble thanks all bitcommet people x

going to www.portforwarding.com seems to be the best and easiest way to fix the blocked ip yellow light thingy i have a zyxel router that has built in fire wall and i was able select my router from the list then follow the instructions the only bit i found hard to find was my service providers dns server name i found it by searching yahoo for service provider name and dns server address example searched irish broadband dns server name and i found it it took me about two hours to work through the instructions on portforwarding.com but well worth the effort my download speed has increased x 25 times what it was its now downloadind at the same speeds as from a website download link if you wanna email me feel free bye

I am running version bitcomet ver. 1.0

its saying my listening port is disabled [windows vista]

how do I enable it so I can sign in and download?

upgraded to bitcomet 1.0 from .98 2 days ago. now I have a greylight, and it says my listening port is disabled. running windows vista premium, does anyone know what I need to do to enable the listening port so that I can sign in and download again? how do I straighten out this mess, tried turning off my firewall, redownloading.....cant figure it out.

hi all ..this will sure to help out the peeps with the bad ip blocked thing..go to options then goto connections ..go to bottom were it say listen port ..hit the choose random port then hit ok ..then give a sec and see if the ip port thing turn green and that you .if done work on the first go try again ..& also make sure your firwalls is letting bitcoment thou its ports ..hope thats help ya out guys peace out the.commander

Hi, I recently upgraded Bitcomet to version 1.00 but before trying it out also installed SP1 for vista. Now I constantly have this yellow light and am limited to only local seeds. My download speeds are very up and down. Sometimes they go over 200Kb which I am quite happy with but at others they will be down near Zero.

I went through all the rigmarole of setting the listening port on the router months ago and that was sure a hassle, but now I have all of that set up and everything was going well until I made these upgrades.

Does anyone know what the root of my problems is? Some folk suggest it is the new Bitcomet that is causing the problems, others say it is vista sp1. Hopefully this will be solved in time by some clever boffin but for the time being I am just getting more and more frustrated and confused.

hey guys...i need your help...im experiencing yellow light and indicates that my listening port is blocked,another thing is, bitcomet tells me from the start that Windows XP SP2 has HALF Open TCP connection that is lowering my speed, when i checked it its at 10...there is an instruction on what to do but it also says that "do this if you know what you are doing". crazy huh? of course i could have fixed it if i really know what im doing, but i dont...guys please help me...you can reply here or send message at my YM ron_o4o1, and thats letter "O" not zero...thanks guys!!!

to fix the blocked BT Connection you go into your options and then connection and write down your listen port (usually 5 numbers) then you access your router and open that port (if linksys router you will want to start and end that port number) save your settings and then recheck you should have a nice green dot....

For anyone having issues with the BT Connection Being Yellow.. Here is the fix!

1) That guide is complicated. Go to the options in bitcomet. Find your listen port number and write it down.

2) Open your browser and type your default gateway number into the address line. Type your username and password for your router. Find TCP & UDP connections (just browse all the tabs to find it). Type in the IP address of the computer you are using to download files as well as the listen port number from bitcomet that you wrote down earlier in the appropriate spaces. Save changes.

3) Open Bitcomet or if its already open Right click the yellow dot and click check again

OK I first tried portforward.com with no luck I still have yellow light.

Then i tried PeerGuardian 2 and still no luck.

Then i tried ahg2b method i even called up net gear to walk me through it to make sure i was doing it right. I don't see how it can be this hard.

Does my anti virus have anything to do with it? I have Kaspersky when i first got it i had trouble with it but then it was all good untill i got my damn router.
