A simple friend when visiting acts like a guest

My best friends open the fridge and help themselves

A simple friend has never seen me cry

My best friends have their shoulders soggy with my tears

A simple friend doesn’t know my parents first names

My best friends have there numbers in their phone book.. or fancy my dad (nic!)

My best friends come early to help set it up and stays late to help clear up

A simple friend hates when I call them after they have gone to bed

A simple friend seeks to talk to me about their problems

A simple friend wonders bout my romantic history

My best friends could blackmail me with it
