I'm having some issues on which one I like. I never used Utorrent cause it would never work on my PC. I retried it now it does. BitComet Does not do as good a job seeding a Brand new torrent like Utorrent can. And Utorrent don't pad torrents you make like Bitcomet does. A had problems getting the downloading to match speeds but now utorrent as of now is downloading at least 1 MB/s faster.

Bitcomet was my first Bittorrent and never has failed me but I might be out growing it lol. Bitcomet is easier to manipulate but I think u can get more out of Utorrent in the long run.

But the selling point Utorrent has over Bitcomet is torrents I make seed better then they do with Bitcomet.

I'm not gonna remove neither of them I just thought I post this for the hell of it. The popular TBDev code on which thousands of private BitTorrent trackers are built, is said to be vulnerable to a major exploit. A successful attack could allow a malicious attacker to deface the main tracker page (index.php) and hijack the account of anyone who logs into the application. Worryingly it’s even possible to hijack an administrator’s account by using a social engineering attack to get them to click on specially crafted hyperlink, although most admins won’t be tricked by this method.

BitTorrent is supposed to be hassle free, that’s why it’s so attractive right? Sadly, it is also used by by scammers to generate money, often through trickery and deception. Recently, a new ring of BitTorrent rip off sites has sprung up, this time related to movie codecs.

Spamming BitTorrent sites with fake movies is nothing new. We’ve reported before how people download movies only to find out that they require a special media player to play it, or others, which are bundled with malware to infect their PC when they install it.

Today, sadly, we have to report on a new ring of BitTorrent scam sites. BitTorrent sites are overloaded with ads for malware ridden BitTorrent clients and paid tutorials that promise to quadruple your download speed. They try to lure naive users into downloading their products with catchy phrases such as “Breakthrough Information Will Have You Downloading Torrents Up To 475% Faster”. It’s time to take them down.

Last year we reported several times on the family of malware supported BitTorrent clients such as Torrent101, BitRoll, TorrentQ and GetTorrent. The popular BitTorrent site Mininova officially launched its Content Distribution service, an easy way for indie publishers to share their content with a wide audience, for free of course.

Ever since Demonoid decided to pull the plug following pressure from the CRIA, thousands of members are wondering what happened. Perhaps even more importantly, they are asking themselves this: Is Demonoid ever going to come back?

Nobody really seems to know what the future holds for Demonoid, however, Deimos, the founder and main admin of what used to be the most popular (semi)private BitTorrent tracker, has given people a little hope.

Christmas is known world-wide as a time for sharing, a time for giving. But for one charity, instead of Santa arriving with gifts, the copyright police turned up demanding money. Why? Because the charity allows children to sing carols on the premises and their kitchen radio is a little loud. You couldn’t make it up.

Following the huge pressure it successfully put on LeaseWeb to shut BitTorrent sites, anti-piracy outfit BREIN smells blood as it casts a wider net to force other ISPs to shut down other huge sites, including the likes of Mininova, TorrentSpy and BTJunkie.

During the last month we’ve reported a few times on the likelihood that BREIN pressure would lead to a shuttering of BitTorrent sites at LeaseWeb. After LeaseWeb issued an ultimatum for BitTorrent sites to leave its hosting by December 1st, at least ten major sites left for hosting in new countries such as Sweden, while others felt that re-locating within the Netherlands would be acceptable, providing it was with another ISP.
