If downloading to a removable drive, and in the case that bitcomet is opened without the drive, the torrent downloaded percentage goes to zero.
Is there a setting to prevent this?
I get so frustrated with this, since I always download to a network drive. If drive is off, and I happen to open bitcomet the DL % goes to 0; this is odd because the client is not even able to find the path; it should just pause it and let it be.

Hi,

Firstly, I'm really stumped....I've been using BitComet for years in varying network environments with many versions and always got it working....this is a last resort!!!! please help

I'll try keep it simple....

1. Software firewall is off but still has ports allowed through it (but OFF).
2. The listen port I set is 64888 (always worked before)
3. I've ended up TCD/UDP fowarding numerous ports I've heard in numerous online docs....
the router forwarding is overkill but here it is:

?A - 64888 to 64888 UDP/TCP
?B - 80 to 80 TCP
?C - 72 to 72 TCP
?D - 65432 to 65432 UDP
?E - 49152 to 49152 UDP
?F - 65534 to 65534 UDP

?G - 16072 to 16072 TCP/UDP (test)

?H - 6881 to 6881 TCP/UDP

?A to G are set for my network address xx.yy.zz.01
?H is set for the routers address xx.yy.zz.00


now the problem is that my router has address example 00.00.00.00
and my address on the intranet is 00.00.00.01
but in bit comet (bottom right corner) the blocked......

well my problem is that when i try to open up links on the bit commet client it opens up aol and a folder named ee. i let everything load but the link i clicked on never opens up. Im talking about all the links to the left hand side under download.

When you start a new torrent, and are limited to 10 half open connections, what happens if your client trys to make connections that are blocked by peer guardian?

Is it possible that these attempted connections to blocked IP addresses could cause more then a momentary delay?

Hi all, my first post here. I have problems with Bitcomet listening port. I used to get green light some of the times (not always) in the past but currently I only get the yellow or grey light. The initiation are mostly "local" or "Nat Transversal" with no "remote" at all.

Here is my setup:
1. OS: Ms Windows XP service pack 2 without much updates or patches on Intel Pentium 4 2.4Ghz. 512Mbytes RAM. nVidia Geforce FX5500.
2. Bitcomet version: I have tried .70, 1.0 and 1.01 with no better result. Currently running version 1.01.
3. DSL modem : Thomson (Alcatel) SpeedTouch 546v6 with software release 6.1.0.5. It also acted as a 4-port router and the gateway to the internet. Firewall is set to standard allowing portforwarding. Intrusion Detection is enabled.
uPNP is also enabled. It's also the only DHCP server in the local network. My ISP provides 2048/512 Kb connection.
4. Connection: The computer running Bitcomet is hooked up with the DSL modem via an......

GUI Bugfix: auto check network status option cannoot be saved
Core Bugfix: error occurs when connect to certain trackers: "Tracker Reture Zero Length Response"
Core Bugfix: EVENT_COMPLETE should be sent to tracker only when all files in BT task downloaded, not only selected.

Hi,

I am having a great time undergoing a steep learning curve with torrent files, downloading, uploading etc. However, I know so little that I am not even sure that I am using the appropriate terminology that will describe my query. I know this is probably pretty basic stuff but I want to be sure I am getting this right and I learn best when I understand how things work.

Once I have downloaded a file at what point can I "remove" it from the "file name" list? For example, I have just downloaded the latest version of BitComet 1.01. It shows 100%. Can I now remove it from the list? May I asssume that it has been downloaded and saved to my computer so I can remove it from my BitComet list?
Another example, I downloaded a documentary and burned it to a DVD so I could watch it on TV, so I can remove it from my list, but is it still in a file elsewhere on my computer?

On another point, I downloaded a season of a TV series. Damages. (S01.COMPLETE.DVDrip.XviD.......

I need a help because I do not know what to do...
BitComet Version 1.01 shows this message (in the options TCPip.sys):
"Current OS is NOT supported to be modified"

It downloads normal (at this time with 100 kB/s) but NO uploads! 0 (zero) speed and Listening Port is
GRAY; DHT Network works NOT correctly. What is happend?

To my system (installed software):
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 3 (ALL Windows Updates are installed).
BitComet 1.01.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.
Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0.1.325.
PeerGuardian 2.
XP-AntiSpy.

I have used BitComet with Service Pack 2 and the TCPip.sys was not 'closed'.

It occurred to me today that it would be pretty handy to have a "Pause Download" button similar to "Pause Task" however it still allows uploading.

Would be good for people who want to use their downstream bandwidth for something in-particular but still want to seed certain tasks.


I also miss the old ability to set task priority (must have been around v0.6 or something), is there any chance of this making a comeback?

Hi everyone,

I'm new to all of this. I haven't had a problem though until now. I downloaded a few movies and when I play them I have stars on the screen. Unless I use the VLC player. When I use it, my playback is fine. Nero Showtime, WMP & MPClassic don't work! The thing is, burning these movies to dvd I get the same thing. Stars on the screen! Anyone else have this issue? Somebody help please!!! By the way, I've used Nero & ConvertXtoDVD and had the problem with both.

hello i have bitcomet 1.01 now. i have used bitcomet successfully for the past year and no problems. i have windows vista. and i have cable/dsl internet wireless connection. the problem that i am having is new to me i never experienced it before. when i download a torrent via internet it opens in bitcomet and i start download. it shows there is a torrent being downloaded in the left drop down section but in the task area there is nothing. i cant get anything to appear in the task area where it is saying my files are downloading. when i look up the files where bitcomet saves them the tasks are there but i still cant see progress name of torrent any info about the torrent inside bitcomet task area (main section in the middle of the screen taking up the majority of the screen. i have uninstalled bitcomet and run several registry cleaners and tried installing previous stable versions that i had prior from your website. version .99 and .70 both......

Hi,

Well i've been using bitcomet for a while now and had no problems up to now...

Recently since Bitcomet 1.00, the program just crashes after 5-10 mins of use !

Although I reboot it, it just starts again, sometimes it takes longer and I can't download correctly, it has been doing that for maybe 2 weeks now !

I just said to myself maybe i should upgrade it to version 1.01, but still problem happens !

It's very uncomfortable and annoying to use !

Does anyone know what to do?


PS : I've deleted it from computer, and got rid of all the download tasks and torrents, but still nothing has changed !
