HELP IN THE MOST SERIOUS WAY PRETTY PLEASE!!!

I WAS RUNNING BC 1.05 AND ALL OF A SUDDEN IT WAS GONE OFF THE SCREEN AND I COULDN'T GET IT BACK...

THANK GOD I SAVED MY TORRENTS SOMEWHERE ELSE... I HAD FOR TORRENTS DOWNLOADING

1) 9GB

2) 8GB

3)15GB

4) 7.9GB... AND THEY WERE ALL OVER HALF DONE, ONE WAS AT 80%DONE....

SO I DOWNLOADED BC 1.05 AGAIN AND MY TORRENTS ALL SAY 100 PERCENT DONE. I HAVE HASHED AND REHASHED AND THEY STILL SAY 100 % DONE... IN MY DIRECTORY THEY ARE NOT COMPLETED. I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THIS SINCE DEC 4/08 24/7..... SO I DOWNLOADED BC 1.06 AND IT DOES THE SAME THING...TONIGHT I AM DOWNLOADING .60 VERSION THAT I USED TO USE BEFORE I UPGRADED TO SEE IF THE HASH WORKS ON THAT OR NOT...

OMG I AM GOING OUT OF MY MIND.. ANY INPUT WOULD BE SOOOOOOO VERY MUCH APPRECIATED....

WELL THE VERSION .60 STOPPED ONE AT 95.5 DONE BUT THAT IS ALL.  THE OTHERS ALL SAY THEY ARE STILL   100% DONE.....

PLEASE HELP ANYONE, I AM NOT TOUCHING THIS UNTIL I CAN GET SOME INPUT ON THIS...

i know someone else that each time they turned there pc back on all downloads had vanisshed. They had to go back to a older version. I am still using 0.99 version, for me it has been the best one..good luck mate

hi DAM,

You first uninstall your BitComet. Then you look on your installation folder. If it exists, delete it. Clean your registry using any registry cleaner utility. Then you go for fresh install of BitComet. I prefer 1.04 which is very compatible for me (several time install & uninstall).

It may help you.

THANK YOU, so very much I am using 1.04 now and I did get all of my torrents back accept one... which i think is pretty good...

I also sent out a last post on how to get the torrents back... I hope everyone reads it as it works all the time...

The reply above me is good.

Uninstall, then delete the install folder (will remove all settings, so note them prior to deleting)

Cleaning your registry is optional, but a good idea. As with all system changes, do them at your own risk. I seriously doubt cleaning your registry will cause problems, but it would be a good idea to run "regedit" and make a backup copy of your registry using "export" option, then saving the copy someplace that all users can find it, like the root of your C: drive for example. In document or desktop, you may not be able to access it if you are trying to restore it from a boot disc.

Then reinstall any version, but not .60, it has serious problems, but version .70 is stable, and the last of the "old BitComet". Avoid versions .71-85ish, as they were often unstable in my opinion.

I'd recommend the newest version.

When you restart your torrents, they should hash check, then you can continue the download.

Also, its very possible that the 100% you see means that the "hash check" is 100% finished, not the download. If this is the case, starting the torrent should fix that.

Also consider the possibility that they are complete, and your old bitcomet installation became corrupt, and didn't show the files as complete when they were.

Thank you so much for getting back to me but everything you wrote I had already tried and nothing worked, until I decided to go back and start downloading the torrents over agin and that is when the box came up and said you possibly already

downloaded these, please click yes for hash and i did and poof all of them but one corrected themselves..:)

The one torrent that I couldn't get back was not there anymore and that is the one that i am redownloading... You have to use the same torrents that you used the first time...

I really do appreciate all of your input and i am using v 1.04 now. I just tried v .60 because it is the one that i used prior to upgrading to v 1.05...

As far as the torrents actually being done i did check that by watching them on mpstar and they were not done.. not even close...

I did send out a last post that was titles "get your pencils and paper and I will tell you how to never loose your torrents again."
