try these:
take a conventional basic 8-digit calculator. (No not MS CALC and no scientific calc won't do)
press 11111111
press [M+] (memory input)
XX (multiply 2 times, to get K if yours are there)
press [+/-] button (which gives you -11111111)
press [=]
you will get all available characters in there, which is in summary:
11111111 x (-11111111)= -1234567.8
with M sign (memory),
negative sign,
K sign (if any),
and E sign (error)
