My treasure box

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I will present you with parts of me slowly

If you can be patient & tender

gradually I will open my treasure box

with drawers that usually stay closed

They will bring out

places and people,sounds and smells

Loves and frustrations, dreams and sadness

parts of my life that have been taken in chunks

found lying in my hands

They have moulded into my memory

carved away into my heart

You or I will never see them

But we will know they are there

If you regard me lightly

Deny they are important

Or worse judge me

I will slowly and quietly

wrap them up once more

Tuck them back where they had been

never again to be shown

That is a beautiful metaphor Deb...there are persons who hide all their true value and most people pass them by without seeing what wonderful gems they are...sometimes one have to stop and get to know a person...and maybe one can find a huge treasure concealed...
