Kate Nash excited, confused by success
LONDON, Jan. 8 (UPI) --
British singer-songwriter Kate Nash said the success of her first album has made life "exciting and confusing."
The 20-year-old's debut, "Made of Bricks," debuted at No. 1 on the U.K. charts in August, launching the hits "Foundations," "Mouthwash" and "Pumpkin Soup." It's just out in the United States and Nash sais she finds re-launching the album "nerve-wracking."
"I remember when people talked to me about America, telling me it could be weird because (the music) is so English," Nash said. "I was like, 'No, it's songs about people. It's thoughts and feelings that everybody has. I think people will get it OK."
Nash is playing a short series of North American concerts before heading to Australia and New Zealand as part of the Big Day Out tour.
