This is a traditional food which can't be missed
let me introduce you a little bit about this. It's called Square Glutinous Rice Cake or Vietnamese call it :" Bánh Chưng ". There is a myth about the origin of its, I will tell you if you want to know ( Yahoo ID: PromiselandX5 ). The recipe is very simple : some certain leaves for wraping , bacon(+ spiced), grean pean crushed into powder, glutinous rice.
How to make: First, we put the leaves in the square shape, four leaves each side of the square shape then put some banana leaves inside to fullfill the space left. Then, put the one bow of rice ( or more according to your shape ) into, then the one ball of grean pean ( we knead grean pean in to ball big as our hand for using ) then we put some pieces of bacon inside then grean pean and rice like the beginning.
Finally, we put banana leaves on then wrap all leaves togethere and using a bamboo thread to wrap it. Then we burn it into a pot full of water over the cake. we heat half of a day.
