Just saying from experience, Well I think it might also make a difference on what your IE explorer settings are set at. My IE wont run anything in the background without my permission, I've been on som evil sites and haven't been hit yet but I'm not exactly call normal computer user I'm a little paranoid with my security.

And Also just because it says there could be malware doesn't mean there is going to be.

If it a site that google itself has not looked at will but that ust to be safe. Especially sites like bit-comet where we an give out links to different things that who knows what they could be. Which takes me back to a point if you don't know the site lol dont click it.
