My Neighbor Totoro Castle in the Sky Kiki's Delivery Service
Talking about one of these
anime is like talking about it all.
In 2 words: Sooooooooo nice.
The animation is
wonderful. The colors are bright. There is some absolutely gorgeous scenery to
be found. Even everyday objects adopt a fairy-tale quality. Especially in (My
Neighbor Totoro), every thing is soooooooooo cute and Magical makes U really yearn
to those days where every thing was mysteries and a simple walk is an adventure
of its own.
The soundtrack is probably
one of the best I've ever heard: unique, eccentric, and friendly all at the
same time.
The magic of each scene is
enhanced even more by the tracks that accompany them, U will notice it
clearly in (Kikis Delivery service), Where the flying scene sooo Blinding U perfectly
feel the air against Ur
face
.
The characters are all
wonderfully drowned, fully likeable and fully believable at the same time with
their strengths and flaws. Clearly recognizable in (castle in the sky) heart-pounding adventure story about friendship, loyalty, greed, and a man's insatiable lust
for power.
Basically,
if you're in the mood to see something that will make you feel good all over,
watch these ones for sure. I sat with a goofy attitude of pleasure whole time,
and stayed like that for hours after it was over.
If Ur in the mood for a lighthearted anime that
still has some substance to it, these movies will go over nicely With U, I
think. Of course, if Ur
one of those types that only likes violence, blood, and Gainax Bounce, then
seeing this anime will waste your time.
Dr. Kusakabe and his two daughters, Satsuki and Mei, move out to a
new house in the countryside. Moving into the large house is an
adventure and a thrill for the young duo, who are still innocent and unjaded enough to still notice sprites and fairies living inside the woodwork and the nearby forest.
Soon, things settle into a routine for the family. Daddy studies and
teaches at the nearby university, Satsuki goes to school, and Mei
begins to play in the vast and gorgeous forest right outside their
screen door. The family also
periodically goes to the hospital to visit
Mom, who has an unnamed disease that keeps her there until she can get
better enough to go home.
Mei eventually meets the Totoro, a strange and friendly race of
creatures who look like a cross between an owl and a rabbit. Totoros
come in all sorts of sizes, the most remarkable being the ten-foot tall
one that seems to embody the spirit of the forest. Soon, Satsuki meets
the Totoro, too, and a truly magical experience begins!

Kiki's Delivery Service
Kiki is thirteen years old, right at the age when a young witch in
training is supposed to travel to another city and strike out for
herself. It's a real test of responsibility and independence, and if
Kiki can handle it for a year, she'll be ready to undergo the rest of
her education.
So, with only a little money, her pet cat / confidante Jiji, and her
mother's broom, Kiki makes her way to a big city by the sea, where
witches haven't been seen for years and the demand for them isn't
exactly great. Being resourceful, Kiki starts the kind of business most
suitable for a witch who can fly on a broom: an airborne package
delivery service. As her fledgling business becomes more and more
successful, she meets various friends who each teach her about
independence, inspiration, and what to do on days when both seem to
vanish.

Pazu is a young boy with a life's dream: to seek and find the
legendary floating island of Laputa, hidden somewhere in the clouds.
Legends tell of its vast, hidden treasures as well as its closely
guarded secrets. His father once photographed it once by chance. No one
believed him, though, and Pazu's father died a poor, desolate man.
One day, Pazu's dreams look close to becoming fulfilled when a young
girl named Sheeta mysteriously floats down to earth from the sky,
unconcious and wearing a mysterious pendant. The pendant is a relic of
Laputa, and has been in Sheeta's family for generations.
The two become fast friends and decide to seek the island of Laputa
to fulfill Pazu's dream and to learn more of Sheeta's clouded heritage.
At the same time, other parties also seek Laputa and the pendant worn
by Sheeta: the Dola pirate clan, for starters, not to mention the
government, including the ambitious agent Muska...
