~ Dont Steal My Poems ~
A gaurd stands posted at the pearly gates.
As eight U.S. Sodliers are burried late.
He begins to cry as the preacher prays.
Remembering all of there good old days.
The preacher turns and reads aloud each number.
They had no friends, no kin nor any lover's.
The preacher finishs and says to the gaurd.
"Did you know them son were the brothers in arm?"
The gaurd replies " Yes Sir i am in a way
For i was the one who sent them on that day.
Theese men were full of honor and trust.
Each one of them carring and loving, as every soldier must.
The eight burried here will never be forgotten."
The preacher turned and lowering his head in a vow of silence
To honor those now dead.
But what he saw when he raised his head
Was no gaurd no burried none of the dead.
Instead what he saw was a sight that left him in total Dismay
As that posted gaurd stood with eight heavenly angels
That each spread wings wore halos and flew away.
