If you want ZoneAlarm and Vista ... read this ............

 

WARNING : If you have "Vista with Service Pack 1" zonealarm firewall and zone alarm suite will have problems. You can read about it at the ZoneLabs forum. It's a Microsoft problem, not a ZoneLabs problem. ...... I ended up having to do a complete C drive restore with Nero 8 Ultra. ......... Read about it, and pass it on.

Technically they say its not thier problem but I have more programs then I care to speak of that zone alarm will not let it run. No matter what i tell zone alarm to do and that was 7 years ago and from what I have heard it has not changed. I would dump zone alarm and find another lol just make sure it's not Nortons either.

Yeah, with Service Pack 1 of Vista... ZoneAlarm Firewall is stuffed. I'm using 'COMODO Firewall' now, it gets a very high rating, it's free from the developers. Read their 'COMODO Firewall' website for details. ... Yes, not Nortons Firewall. Speaking of Nortons ,,, 'Nero 8 Ultra' is better than Nortons for system backups.

Oh hell yeah Nero's backup I would do hands down before another ounce of Nortons Bullshit hit my Hard-drive. I put way to much shit in my PC's to trust crappy pieces of Software.

Vista with Microsoft Updates is hell with third party firewalls. I've had problems with 'COMODO Firewall' now too. A friend has problems also. Serious vista system errors. Might have to get SATA hard disk drivers and then intall XP Pro. ..... P.S. What PC games are you into? ..... I still like the old BattleField 1942 , RollerCoaster Tycoon3, Age of Empires3, but looking forward to Duke Nukem Forever, and Spore.
