How much do you pay for your internet connection every month and what kind of connection do you have ? (Speed, LAN or WAN)

I'm trying to see the differences from country to country.

I'm in Romania and i pay about 30 RON which means about 12 USD, 6 GBP or 9 € and i have a 3 Mbps (384 KB/s) line on a LAN network connection.

I've been in the US and noticed speeds there are pretty high and 10 Mbps lines are quite common and I've also been living in the UK for a while where they also have pretty decent connections, though a bit pricey.

I'm waiting to hear about your country..............

Woooo!! you have a quite fast download speed there and cheaper too, mine only 190kB/s (approximation) download speed and 43kB/s (approximation) upload speed with 1MB package provided by TMnet Streamyx and paid them 88 MYR a month. It's about 26.34 USD, 63.95519 RON, 18.30336 EUR, 13.32122 GBP...BTW my connection type is ADSL and I'm from Malaysia...

yes, "umai", i also think we pay very less here in Romania... I guess coz the competition is becoming more and more fierce. I'm on a neighbourhood network which is even better than some big provider b-coz they don't put limitations on my speed, which means it increases greatly when less users are online. 4 example during the day i get like 250-350 KB/s download and 80-100 upload but at nights I went up to 1.500-2.000 KB/s download speed which is like 10-15 Mbps, so ......what can i say, i'm very happy with it....long gone are the days when the dial-up used to cost bout 15-40 USD/month for 32-64 kbps MAX......pathetic.........
