It's 1212 in New York City. One man is trying hard to stay alive
and not be devoured by vampire-like zombies, who are afraid of the light
and only come out at night. Three years ago, Robert Neville (Will
Smith) was a military scientist living in a Washington Square townhouse
with his wife and young child. Then a deadly virus swept through the population resulting in an order to evacuate the city. Robert sends his loved ones to safety while he stayed behind to try and
find a cure for this scourge in his state-of-the-art laboratory. Now
most of the world's population has been wiped out, and he may be the
last hope for the human race.
This incredible movie captures the struggle of humanity and include an issue that we are struggling with today. Cancer. The thought that our own science could wipe our our planet is quite scary. Which makes this movie seem more real...adding the "WHAT IF?" factor.
I was impressed with the movie's plot, and the development of the main character.Although I was unsure of soem of the facts, because it didn't quite coverit. What happened to Robert's family? did they die in that helicopter? Another thing I wanted to emntion was that I didn't find it more of a horror movie as a thriller. Wasn't that scary, but it did have it's moments. Not alot of gore and by scary I meant in the "WHAT IF?" factor.
The music that they included (BOB MARLEY) was an excellent choice. It really connected with teh theme well. But what really touched me, and I hope it touched others, was the bonding of him and his dog Sam. Sam was the German Shepard that he had. She was his friend and his companion. The saddest part was when Robert had to strangle his own dog, because the dog was turning into....well.....a zombie....
Overall the audio, special effects and other visual qualities were perfect! I have no complaints on the actual avi file itself. So i give teh movie another 8/10 STARS!
