Olympic Opening Ceremonies: Reminiscent of Nazi Germany

If you want to know what kind of spectacles Hitler would have put on to impress the world with his power and influence had he been alive today, then you should have watched the Olympic opening ceremonies.

China put it's many, many people to work, as well as it's advanced technology, in a ceremony that reminds the rest of the world who the real economic powerhouse is. Only a dictatorship could frighten so many people into working their asses off to be so perfectly in sync and perform such awe-inspiring formations and movements.

For a nation that is so against art and creativity, as evidenced by the banning of the films of one of the greatest filmmakers in the world, Wong Kar Wai (as well as outlawing the director, himself), and their strict regulations on other films, internet, television, and any other creative outlets, this spectacle was an artistic masterpiece that cannot be topped. The show was really indescribable and breathtaking, but it's a shame that this beautiful work of art has been so tainted by whom it was created by.

The people involved may as well be tiny specks of paint; all insignificant to the painter alone, but a wonderful work of art when placed in the right position and looked at as a whole. However, separate them, and they mean nothing to the creator. But so is life under the rule of one entity that cares only for what his whole picture can do for him.

The show featured a lot of references to unity, peace, and even environmentalism, despite the fact that the energy used to fuel this show was probably enough to power a couple dozen cities for weeks. And in one of the most polluted parts of the planet, the whole environmental theme was hard to take seriously.

But while the world resents China for flashing its wealth and prosperity; their polluted, overcrowded country; their politics; way of living; and views on the world, we can't help but let them do as they wish. Their power is undeniable, and as long as they don't do anything extreme, no one will be able to fight them or get them to change their ways. And even if China does do something to rock the world, the world would have a difficult time stopping them.

I don't know if you are originally from China but seriously what you said is fucked up.

Sure there is still some issues over there but most chinese people I met while i was there and here in the US felt proud about what their country have accomplished. They showed the world what a great nation they really are. In spite of their government and in spite of people around the wolrd who are still afraid of the "communist". There is no doubt that they were some pressure from the government and even menaces to do a exceptional work in the last 7 years but what they accomplished is something they should be proud of and not ashamed. People in the rest of the world should stop confusing the people of China from their government. Did you look at the face of those performers during the ceremony? can you hear the people cheering for their athletes? Does it sound like they are forced? GO there talk to the people. I'm not chinese and i'm not communist. like you i live in a democratic country and i'm thankful for that. The simple fact that some people don't doesn't make everything they do wrong. Stop judging from what you know about the government Look at the people.

I dont know why you hate the Chinese, personally I think they are a hardworking people and the spectacle they put for the opening of the games was spectacular, the government may have driven the people hard but what they have achieved is phenomenal.

You mean to say that the people of China were steamrolled into doing what they have done, I think thats a load of bull.

Ennnnnnnnjoy

Btw, I really dislike language attack, but your post is really disgusting.

Can you check the definition of Nazi first? I guess you know little about history.

What a disgusting post, and the same the author of the post.
