May be off topic but completely related, We live in a consumer society includeing natural resources. The absolute nature of advancement of the human race depends on technology, and technology is a self perpetuateing machine, without progress there is a recession, witch leads to depresion. The absolute nature of advancement is exponental to a power of 2.35:1, meaning each step forward generates a level of technology 2.35 times greater than the step that created it. the problem is self answering if forward steps are found, however time is relative so the ultimate question is will we reach a self sustaining energy within the time we need to stop the irreperable harm to the planet and society.
ON a side note forward advancement requires more and more and more of everything faster and faster and faster!!!

This is a good Question obviously the greatist game of all time had to be pitfall i mean you could go 200 screens to the left then 200 screens to the right and they were never the same and why was there a score you could not find the end.
