Thanks cristara, comment appreciated.

You are soo right. What would possibly be fun about it if you would know the winner allready from the beginning?

And that question only emphasizes why F1 was so boring during the Michael Shumacher-era. He was to good for the sport to really benefit from him. Well, the first two or three years was okay, but then those who watched began to drop out, and F1 lost it's lackluster. The way it's lining up this season is just the way it should always be.

Thanks for the comment and the vote Svetlana. I read a bit of your work on runes to, but i will have another go on that on sunday when i get back home from my visit to my grandmother.

The reason that i am so into Super Aguri is because i love the guys. Aguri Suzuki went into F1 with empty hands, bought a cahssi from an old F1-car that had'nt been used for 5 or 6 years and got all things together before the start of the season.

It would be wrong to tay they were, or even now, are a competitive team. But they have the spirit and the right way to look a sportsmanship. They do it because they love it. That's always the way man should do sports. Not because you have to, but because you have a need to do it.

Sorry for the double and tripple posting, but there was a limit of 2000 characters, which i did not know about. And without a counter, there's just no way to keep track of that.

And now Jenson Button, who i must say have always had his spot in my mind. But i don't think he have ever been a challenger for a championship and he have never had the pace to win serious wins. Although this might be true, he have always been a good member in the teams and a genuine gentleman.

This might not win him any races, and i think that's where he has his biggest weakness.

To conclude this, and preventing myself from writing a whole book about this matter, i have to admit that neither Barrichello or Button will ever be racing for a championship, but i still like the guys. They are genuine racers, not just stubborn old pricks who complain about everything.

And this is where Coulthard come into the mix. I really think that he has done all he can in racing on the track. I would genuinely love to listen to him, if he was to become a commentator on tv, or read his articles if he decided to begin writing articles in a paper. But on the track, i don't want him anymore. He don't have the right motivation, just hanging on to it because of the wrong reasons. Not having any fun anymore, not driving to improve himself, nor realizing the fact that he is getting to old to keep up with the competition. That is why i think he should quit. Not because i don't like him, but just to save whats left of his honour.

If we take Button and Barrichello into the mix, i believe we have the two drivers who might both break and confirm my quote.

Barrichello have always been a talented driver, and i think he had his greatest chance during his time at Ferrari, as teammate to Michael Shumacher.

While not winning that many races, due to not being permitted to by the team because of Michael being the number one driver in the team, he always was amongst the best. Helping the team to pick points and allowing them to win the Constructors Championship. But i actually think that he had also had some really good races during his years at Jordan and Stewart. Those are years i have don't have full knowledge about, but i know he beat some of the best drivers at times and had some GP-wins.

His years at Honda teaming up with Button have really not been easy to cope with, and i admire him for being able to keep on. The team was newly founded when he entered, and they have since merely been able to get together a functional team or car. The competitiveness of the car have, to say the least, been poor. During his first year he had huge problems acclimatising to the new team and to find a setup of the car that fitted his drivingstyle. And the team as a whole, including the car, have never been really competitive.

Well Christara, you certainly have a good point there. But if were talking Coulthard, i believe he has had all the time needed to prove him self. He have been in McLaren, and even though he did manage to win some races, he have never been able to win a championchip. Even though he was a reliable driver, and always finished amongst the top-six, he never had "that".

Talking Schumi, he said he would quit when he felt he was'nt the the fastest driver on the grid anymore, and along came Alonso and proved it was time for him to quit. And that is what's going to be his fame after he quit racing i think, Alonso will always be known as the driver who beat Schumacher head on.

Hakkinen was in kind of the same seat at Coulthard was a couple of years ago. The difference was that Coulthard decided to downgrade to a smaller team, while Hakkinen decided it was time to quit. A wise decision i say, if you want to stay known as one of the fastest, and not to have people looking down on you because you did not had the speed in the end.

I can see thet here's a fellow racing lover. Atleast that what i hopes for. I say i have to send mo votes to the grey car on the left......
