To put it shortly if your task is running and up rate is above 0 then U are seeding! there is something called LT seeding that does happen automatically by default but it can be capped or disabled, though U won't benefit from it either.

You have to keep them for a while, until some people have 100% too , if u want your torrent to have a long life ! About 5-10 would be enough, but the more the merrier.
