hi there sorry to hear you are having problems with the wide area network light wan for short. i have a seimens gigaset se 587 router and my firewall is zonealarm free and avg 8.0 free. i to had problems at first with the green light issue and guess what, at the time i was running macafee. so i uninstalled it and went for the above mentioned protection and all is well now. i also followed portforwarding.com to the letter that will definatly do the trick. if not then format your computer with recovery discs. then just install zonealarm and avg forward your desired port and it WILL sort it out. i use a port in the range 60000 ish. i hope this help you out i know how demoralizing that nasty yellow light can be.

oh i nearly forgot always read the comments page before you download anything. saftey in numbers iits kind of like a democracy. the more people give the thumbs up the better the torrent is likley to be. avoid places like torrent reactor and pirate bay. lots of viruses. plus they don,t have a comments section, that speaks volumes if you ask me. good places are mininova/demonoid/isohunt, with demonoid being the best of the bunch in my opinion. hope this helps people. and don,t forget to leave your shiny new movie uploading so everything balances out. a bit like karma man, peace.

my router lights flash when surfing and when downloading and sometimes pages time out when using bitcomet but it never drops out completly. i am wireless on an unlimited 8m/bit package actual speedtest averages show about 4/5m/bit. does all this sound normal. the internet lights flashing i mean.

my simple advice is always read the comments, this way you can never get stung.

why not just format your hard drive and start again thats what i do and it runs like new again. ok so it takes a few hours to reinstall everything but i sur is worth it. its also a sure fire way to rid your pc of any stubborn malware.
