The simplest way is to leave the task running (100% downloaded) after it finished downloading. If you want to become "persistent seed", hightlight the task you want to seed and select properties. Check the "add to my sharing and share this torrent" option in the bottom left of the task's properties..

You can prevent Bitcomet from downloading IE file by unchecking the "Capture IE file download" option or you can choose to select only certain file to be downloaded by Bitcomet by going to Option(preference in the older version)>HTTP/FTP and uncheck "capture IE file download" box. Below the box there is an option of what type of IE files to be captured by Bitcomet. Choose only what you want and the other just delete it..If this doesn't prevent Bitcomet from downloading automatically to uncheck the option "Set Bitcomet as default IE download tool".
