As you may deduced already I don′t believe in the existance of an immortal soul that lives on after death...it is a fantasy created by humans who can not accept that all ends when one dies...no afterlife, no paradise, no hell...although sometimes, the word "soul" is used in a different way, often to refer to the mix of qualities and emotions of a person including intelligence features as well. Used in that way some people says that a particular person has a "good soul". With that sense the message of your post can be understood as people must not lose themselves in the persuit of beauty and money, you can seek those but never forgetting that the intelect, moral values and self realization must be fed as well...
