At all costs, avoid downloading torrents that require passwords for their files to work... they usually lead you on a wild goose chase through some highly-infected porn sites which immediately infect your PC and then cause damage soon after... if you actually have downloaded the same torrent as stated above, then you should immediately delete it and look for another one... the ripper by the name of "aXXo" has never put out a DVDRip with a password or even of low quality, this is a fact that is known universally in the torrent world... i prefer using btjunkie coz the comments and verification is posted while searching and on the torrent download page

it has happened quite a few times with me... its an illusion for sure coz there seems to be no meteoric increase in the amount downloaded considering i used to get 250-300kbps speed all of a sudden for about 30 seconds... which would mean that 3MB atleast has been downloaded... yet there were no particular changes in the percentage downloaded...

what exactly will this do with regards to my download speed?

sign out and sign in again from the account... BC sometimes has an issue in updating the points properly... i haven't had as serious a case as you but mine usually comes down only 100 points or so...

Audio files:- start downloading them again, if the same thing happens again then download another torrent with better seeders

Video files:- uncheck the files that haven't been completed in the properties, go to the directory and delete the BC file, then start downloading that file again...
