Glad to know I'm not the only one scratching my head on this one. One good thing though, Bitcommet still gives you points for these phantom uploads.

When I turn my firewall setting to "Don't allow exceptions" The phantom uploading stops and gives an accurate reading.

I know this is a little late in coming. If you haven't already killed your system... DON'T download anything with an extension that you don't recognize and more importantly, DON'T download any special players. These files, and we all hate them, are there just to get people to download and legitimize their inferior players.

Advice: Uninstall all the crap, only download safe extemtions (avi, mpg, mp3, mp4, etc.) If you get something telling you to download and instal their player, don't.

Looks like it may take you a while. You want major, Upload a gig a day, and you'll get there in 62 days.
