It is not just ugliness that is unwanted. Wierdness is also rejected. Anything or anyone who is not seen as the norm is ignored and sometimes even barated.

Yes your right they pronounce letters differently to us. Also if a letter has .. two dots above it, it means you have to put an accent on it (Don't ask me even i don't understand accents, I just pronouce it the way teacher does). And if thats not confusing enough whether you're from east or west Germany also effects the way you pronouce stuff.
I believe a lot of things. I believe this post deserves a vote. I'll see if i can come up with a better one, worth putting with the your good ones.
