My Talk

one in a billion (10^9) Sun Jun 8, 08 08:42 PM

thank you so much for taking time to read this. it's just incredible the response i've received on this 1. but i want to stress it's NOT about the numbers, altough it rivals that of my darwin awards post in just a couple days. this serves as my "message in a bottle." (sorry, sting)

many of us keep tucked away in that secret place of ours. whether it's in our hearts, minds or evwn a book authored by us, secrets that are hard or impossible to share. each of us has our own little novel we keep tucked away, never to let anyone read or see the words inside because they're personal, painful or remind us of who we really are. from a cheeky person, i give you this: that once you've found the right person, these things will gently unfold little bits and pieces at a time. from our own "little earthquakes" to our dances with vampires, these things are kept tucked away. give only what you can afford leaving the personally intimate only for those you know best and trust. this takes an incredible amount of courage, but be careful to separate courage from folly. -- TorrentialD

thx greta for the compliment. about the only stuff you won't find muc if any of is (c)rap music. i might throw eminem's stan into the mix. he's 1 of the VERY few i can stand. yeah, it's sorta funny how classical ends up next to metal or pop. it's just the order of things & how i remember what songs i want to put up. -- TorrentialD

yeah, it was pretty ugly, but i think the damage has been repaired & things are back to status quo.

unless things have changed, that site doesn't support http dl's through bc, which ties up my connection or throttles bc to a slow grind. couldn't you just upload these to a public access folder on microsoft SkyDrrive or some such if you don't want to post the torrents? i also dl'ed passaware pro that way as i didn't have much luck in rapidshare.

your attitude is how people judge who you are. like first impressions, a bad attitude can be a killer of all things social. atttiude is not only how you regard yourself, but others too. if you treat everyone well, odds are more than likely you'll be treated well in return, save for the jackasses who have terrible crap attitudes. so the lesson to be learned by this is a bad attitude will make you a lonely, hated and miserable person while having a good one helps you stay healthy, live a longer life & recover from sickness or injury faster (all proven factual).

yeah, ride the lightning was a real ass-kicker too. love call of ktulu, one of thw BEST metal-jam instrumentals out there. yeah, after the black album, they were 100% shit. it's called seeling out. tyhey lost their musical integrity sfter that. but, we still have the good stuff. -- TorrentialD

i couldn't find satriani's 5th (beethoven's) to post. wish i could use tunes from my own itunes library. as for 9 lives, it'a just a joke song that'll be removed. i just thought it was funny to put it in the playlist.

My Opinion......UPDATED MORE Mon Jun 2, 08 08:11 PM

i say anyone who bullies anybody is a big with a tiny brain.

this was probably to offset the boredom governemt censorship brought to the telly. back in the medieval times (read FCC), there were limits placed on what was "appropriate," & as such, we suffered the insufferable as far as content on the tube goes. even more sophisiticated cartoons (like tiny toons) sneak in a bit that over the heads of the general audience, but well understood by most adults. there are sometimes even some "inside jokes" put in that only the creators know about. -- TorrenialD

TIMBER!!! (don't try this at home) Fri May 30, 08 10:24 AM

sounds pretty unbelievable, doesn't it? but, sadly or funny enough, it's true in a cartoonish kind of way.
