I did download that thing but to be honest it really did not do much for me. I have used both BitComet and Bit Torrent and by far in every way Bit torrent is much much faster than Bit Comet. However it feels like Bit Comet has more of a community of folks that share all kinds of goodies! But when it comes to download time as it is now I could never see going back to Comet it is just way too slow. No joke I download almost twice as fast with Bit Torrent. I have no idea why but that the way it is here on Margarita Island!

From my experience most of the so called rapid share, direct download sites are scams.

They offer you a 3 day trial for only $4.97 now this is what happens all they really are is a torrent search engine site that they have made up to look very real with high speeds etc. It is all a scam do not, I repeat do not use them because here is the real kicker, all of this is designed for one purpose and one only to obtain your credit card info which you will need to give for the trial offer. Once they have that info they will use it to the fullest they can for as long as they can. If you wait 3 days nothing happens and you call your credit card company you may see your card has been used to the limit. Now by law your credit card company in the end run will not hold you responsible for this but this is after you call for a charge back from you company etc etc meanwhile the thieves have all they could get from your card. Do not use them. Having said this Usenet maybe a real direct download service but I have no idea how they work and what they provide.

I used a free trial with them that did not need a credit card was free for 15 Gigs. I downloaded what I thought was some shows , it was indeed very fast but nothing at all showed up on my hard drive.

I really think it would be a great idea for a real torrent expert that knows whatis really going on to write up some protocals on how to increase our speeds given different situations. Listen please there is a lot more going on than you think with file sharing torrents of shows, new movies etc.

The front of all this is great it is free and this is how it works..sorry nothing is free. At first it would appear that this is a free network of cool dudes that just make a little money off the ads that run to keep these services running..I would like to believe that hey it is a free country right..I will leave this one thought with you think about (Layers) spelling is correct layers not lawyers. Ok I know too much 24 time for 4:20...

Not sure why my messages are not apprearing. I am signed in. I want to reply to the first poster post about utorrent and Bit comet and increasing speed.

after spending 5 days on my PC downloading shows and playing around I think I found something and I am by far a expert in any of this so it may be nothing but I have tested this 24-7 for 5 days and it always works.

Ok I Pay for 1000 down 500 uo but you really need to take off one zero to be in Kbs for it is more like 100kbs and 50 up I had my settings up and down on unlimited first big mistake. I found out by limiting my upload to around 20 and down unlimited I get way better speeds. But here is the kicker call me nuts but when I see for example my down speed going from 80 to 35 but the same amount of seeders still on I kick down my upload a few kbs and like clockwork the down speed goes rign back up! I am not a geek but there seems to be somekind of dection that when you start giving just a bit more upload your down goes way back up and then in 10 mins or so it will balance and then I just change my upload a bit again and back up we go. Ids there any sense to this because if it is true and this has worked 100% of the time for me what about having program that will just play with your upload every 5 mins. You only need to change in a range of a few kbs up and then down. Am I crazy maybe but I tell you this works for me.

I really wish I knew more about all this lingo.

I currently live in Venezula on Margarita Island.

This is a geninue offer if anyone thta knows this crap about increasing speed you will have a beautiful place to stay by a great beach for free if you just come and help set up my computer so it gets the best speed possible.

Here is what I know which is not much and what is going on. I have my listening port light on to green, sometimes it′s yellow so I just go to options change the port by a simple click and it goes to green. I understandt this is a sharing program so when a new movie comes out on Klaxxon where everyone is downloading and seeding I will get around 120kb download but if for at the same time I download anything else something from a direct server it will bring down my download on the movie IOW it always seems to balance out to around 129kb with the best conncetion ny movie goes from 120 to 80 once the other download completes it goes back to 120 again. I read about all this forward router stuff and it is all beyond me. I am on a adsl set up using a Smartax 882 Router. As fas I I can see no matter what I do I cannot get pass that magic 120 KB point.

Also I love the show 24 because we cannot get it here yesterday I was able to watch around 8 or 9 shows because the speed was good.But please tell me what is the secret of finding out what torrents are getting the most hits. when I find one torrent on 24 where it is very active I use it and then it goes way down in speed so I search for another 24 torrent that is more active. Id there anything availble that can tell me at any given time what exact torrent to use at a given time that is most active..

For whatever this means I have been only using Bit Comet for around a month my score is around 2423 and my level is 2nd Lieutent is this just a ego thing or do I get better speed as my rank goes up.

I leave my computer running almost 24-7.

Me too! As far as the green status light it seems like a joke, mine is always yellow when I boot up but then all you need to do is go to options and change to a radom listen port then it turns green but has no effect on actual download speed. My upload speed is almost always higher than my download speed. Does anyone in this group know of what the fastest torrent download mananger would be.

I tried u torrent and seems the same. I like the way Bitcomet is set up but it seems to have a lot of new bugs now. It would do all of us a great service if someone with more experience than I would rate the torrent manangers for us.

I will put you on my Xmas list!

Personally I do not think that there really is a speed booster. It′s really simple the more folks that are sharing a file the better speed you get.

What I wish and want to see is any torrent company that has it′s own server farms so your not dependent on the hopes that someone is seeding for you. It would be worth paying for if there was such a animal.

Howevere I will say that now I use the CometBird browser and it beats IE and Firefox hands don for speed.

Hola new to this forum. I have been downloading for a couple of months now. I really have had little problems I use bitcomet and KMplayer to play.

However this one is new to me. I downloaded the new movive Righteous kill and it will not play. All I get is a message showing all binary numbers.

I updated my kmplayer and I have a bitunlocker but nothing seems to work..any suggestions>
