I thought cats hated water Tibby was sniffing a bowl or rain water a bit too close and got a wet nose she wasn't to happy a bit like the Gerbils trying to wipe the water off.

A wider spread of water from the shower to cover you better might be warmer.
They are usual too cold or too hot they could do with a wider spread.
