Legend says that the settlement of Bucharest was founded by a shepherd named Bucur. According to another version, most likely, Bucharest was founded by Mircea the Old, in the late fourteenth century.

Pake Em. PROTOPOPESCU (1845 - 1893)

Ion Mincu (1852 - 1912)
