 The canal Danube-Black Sea, after a decade of effort was put into service. It was started Danube-Bucharest canal. The works on this canal was abandoned in 1990. Have been put into service more irrigation channels. Efforts were made to improve the railway system through electrification of several main lines and the creation of a modern traffic control.        Increased the number of hydroelectric plants (the most important being the Iron Gates on the Danube) and was started to build nuclear power plant in Cernavoda. Maritime fleet has become one of the largest in the world, equipped with ships built in several shipyards, the most important being that of Constanta. It was built a new sea port, Port Constanta Sud-Agigea. The country was built more plants of the machine building industry, chemical and oil processing.In this post you sheep try to introduce some of the achievements of the Romanian people during communism.
