Windows 7RC 

 Why?

After a major power supply failure last week, and having to wait to get new one to power my main machine.  I had mad fit and decided to try the new Windows 7RC.

Installation.

The install was quite easy and not much user interaction only for inputting the Serial key and username.  But as this is only the release candidate the the custom part as notbenn implemented at this time.   Also it will create a folder called windows.old, this stores all your old stuff from Windows XP into this folder.

This is usefull if you want to use the migration tool from Microsoft  to migrate into your new Windows (Windows Automated Installation Kit (AIK)) installation.This is beyond the scope of this blog, so goood guide can be found here.

I did not use this tool as was not to sure if it would be exceptable, as I was  using XP 32 bit version and had installed Windows 7RC 64 bit version.
