why do human beings have to believe?

-is god merely a replacement for santa-clause when you get older and stop beleiving?

A feer tactic to keep people in order?

-maybe the world and life itself is just so messed up that we need some sort of hope.

-what if it's just false hope?

-what does he/she/it look like?

-is there a heaven or hell?

-will we go there weather we're notty

or nice?

-why do we need a reward such as the thought of heaven to keep order?

-why not just love people?

-does he have a purpose for us?

-why cant we just live and die without having to wander?

 WHAT DO U THINK

I'm a free spirit never had any family to tell me what to beleive. As lonely as i t may be not to have anyone,I am grateful because i have not been clouded by other people's beleifs. Even still I have moral values and a concious, I now the difference between right and wrong without having sucummed to religion.I beleive in peace and love,I like to help just because it feels right and not because its gonna get me into the gates of heaven.

God and soul/ghost are linked. Whenever you see a ghost, god will be the first in your mind. You are really not believing in god when you are not scared of ghost anymore.

Marcus Aurelius - one time Emperor of Rome said, 'since the existance of God can neither be proven nor disproven what matters is how one lives ones life.' for what its worth I believe, but not in the weatherman or lady.

Better to believe and live a life as if there is a God and afterlife and found there is nothing. Rather than NOT to believe and afterwards find out that there Were actually a GOD and end up in hell.

I believe that there is a GOD and an Almighty One. He have done some wonderfull things for me and I will forever be gratefull for that. AMEN

My parents took me to church and still do... but there comes a time when you have to decide for yourself. church has good guidelines for living your life...

No. (BTW move the N to the end of santa and see what you get)

A feer tactic to keep people in order?

Nope.

-maybe the world and life itself is just so messed up that we need some sort of hope.

Life is pretty messed up and we need the hope only he can provide.

-what if it's just false hope?

It's not.

-what does he/she/it look like?

He/She would be technically correct seeing as how god is describe as being both in the Book of Genesis (in Hebrew of course). Though if you read on the the older Hebrew I believe god prefers to be referred to in the masculine manner of he.

-is there a heaven or hell?

Both are quite real I can assure you.

-will we go there weather we're notty

If your naughty (and we all are to some degree or another) fortunately you've been given quite the generous grading curve. All that's necessary is to repent. (I'll give a more in depth definition of repent if you'd like)

or nice?

I believe the same rules apply. Because we've all been naughty (as you putt it)

-why do we need a reward such as the thought of heaven to keep order?

That's an odd way of putting it. We need god's law to keep order and god to get to heaven.

-why not just love people?

Why not indeed?

-does he have a purpose for us?

Yes, in very short to glorify him.

-why cant we just live and die without having to wander?

Cuz Satan don't like ya.

I think God is only for people who don't believe in themselves.

They need something/someone they can depend on.

If they want something, they usually just hope that God will make some miracle, instead of trying their best to get it.

If they can't get what they want, some people will blame God.

Some others, who are fanatic, will say it's not God's will or God knows the best, that kind of stuff, which don't make sense at all.

For me, they just don't want to take responsibility of themselves.

That's why, God is needed for those kind of people.

Everyone ask this question if their is a god why does he let little kids die, why do we have cerial killers walking this earth to kill over and over again, I do not have the answers to many questions but I do believe that thing happen for a reason,

I do believe in God and I do believe that there is a heaven and hell and one day I will get all my questions answered and no I won't get it out of a book, and I do believe in the power of prayer, I will pray for all you non believers

Think of life as the number 1 and eternity as infinity. There's just not comparison. Whatever suffering we experience in life it will be nothing in comparison to the treasures accumulated in heaven.

Romans 8:18 -21

That's why I don't think there's any comparison between the present hard times and the coming good times. The created world itself can hardly wait for what's coming next. Everything in creation is being more or less held back. God reins it in until both creation and all the creatures are ready and can be released at the same moment into the glorious times ahead. Meanwhile, the joyful anticipation deepens.

Revelation 7:14

Then he told me, "These are those who come from the great tribulation, and they've washed their robes, scrubbed them clean in the blood of the Lamb. That's why they're standing before God's Throne. They serve him day and night in his Temple. The One on the Throne will pitch his tent there for them: no more hunger, no more thirst, no more scorching heat. The Lamb on the Throne will shepherd them, will lead them to spring waters of Life. And God will wipe every last tear from their eyes.
