Jason Lee Reunites With Kevin Smith For Dicks

Zack and Miri director Kevin Smith is currently off filming his first big studio film, A Couple of Dicks with Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan. It’s the beginning of a new era for the former indie film director, but that doesn’t mean he’s brushing off the past. In fact, Slashfilm reports and View Askew confirms, that he’s bringing some of the past right along with him.
They say frequent Smith cohort Jason Lee has joined the cast of A Couple of Dicks. Though he’s now best known as the mustachioed star of My Name is Earl Lee got his start rattling off genius Kevin Smith dialog in Mallrats. In the years since he’s has appeared in many of Kevin’s films including a lead role opposite Ben Affleck in what, at least in my opinion, is his best film Chasing Amy. Kevin and Jason last worked together on Clerks II, in which Lee had a small part.
No word yet on what part the former Banky will play in Dicks. It's likely to be bigger than a cameo, but still a small role. The movie stars Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan as buddy cops tracking down a baseball card, rescuing a girl, and tangling with gangsters. I’d like to see him as the “Shit Bandit”, a crook who robs houses and then leaves a special calling card in the bathroom toilet. Unfortunately Adam Brody has already been cast as the king of feces crime. Also already on board is Seann William Scott as an unhappy detective forced to work with Willis and Morgan’s characters.
