Do you hate Dane Cook? Does his brand of over-the-top yelling-rather-than-observing stand-up comedy make your blood boil? What about his audience? Ever notice how they cheer at his jokes rather than laugh at them? And Carlos Mencia! Do all of your friends think he’s hilarious and think you’re a dick for thinking he’s an idiot?
Well then you’re going to think Judd Apatow’s newest Funny People tie-in is amazing. Apparently in the movie, Aziz Ansari plays an obnoxious Carlos Mencia/Dane Cook type stand up comedian who’s all about over-the-top one-liners that can be printed on t-shirts, Twitters, and Facebooks. The guy’s name is Randy (or as he likes to be called, RAAAAANDY), he’s just as annoying you can ever imagine, and he has an official website called Laugh Your Dick Off.
Just like Funny People’s previous promotions, the website is pretty in-depth. It includes sound bytes with some of Randy’s best lines (“I’ve got peanut butter on my dick!”), news updates (“I would love to stay and chat, but I’ve gotta take a SHIIIIT!”), video clips, and of course, Randy in Darfur, a section of the site displaying Randy’s humanitarian efforts (“Y’all heard this shit? It’s fucked up!”). Don’t let me give it all away, though. Go laugh your dick off!
