Every new piece of information about Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is exciting, at least for me. This is probably because I’m currently making my way through the original three films, and the knowledge that there will be fourth one waiting for me, on the big screen no less, is thrilling beyond belief.
So even though this new image of Cate Blanchett from the film isn’t exciting per se—I mean, she’s not exactly doing anything—it still carries that little thrill. Plus, Cate Blanchett looks so good in that severe black bob, playing the Russian baddie Irina Spalko. Just look at those steely blue eyes! You know she’s capable of outrunning that whip, and barking orders in Russian all the while.
Rope of Silicon has the full-size Blanchett image as well as another new image in their gallery, of an action scene with Indy and our friend Shia LaBeouf. They’re facing off against another group in another sports vehicle, and that’s pretty much all you can tell. But, like I said, for those of us jumping up and down with excitement, that’s enough.
