HOLLYWOOD - Ashlee Simpson refused to answer pregnancy questions during a taping of MTV show TRL on Tuesday, but urged fans not to believe everything they read.
Internet reports on Monday suggested the newly engaged singer was expecting fiancé Pete Wentz's child.
Wentz has already denied the rumors, but Simpson wouldn't even address them during the taping of a performance on TRL in New York.
She reportedly dodged the pregnancy question, according to a source, stating only that if all the rumors about her were true, she "would have had a baby by now."
But she happily showed off her new diamond engagement ring during her first public appearance since announcing her plans to wed the Fall Out Boy rocker.
The show, which will feature Simpson performing her new song, "Little Miss Obsessive," will air on Thursday.
