Never let it be said that a bandwagon isn't worth jumping on and J.J. Abrams has spotted one coming with Superbad. His Bad Robot production company, together with Paramount Pictures have picked up a spec script by Jay Dyer for Hot for Teacher, a story of one high school boy's quest to have sex with his teacher. The script, as I mentioned, is drawing comparisons to the Judd Apatow produced, Superbad.

That's all great but seriously though. No matter how much people might worship Abrams, what do we have here? Yet another "teenage boy tries to score with a hot chick" movie. It's been done since Dustin Hoffman started giving his girlfriend's mother a good seeing to in The Graduate, right through Porkies, Revenge of the Nerds etc etc and more recently American Pie which covered nearly every teens seeking sex base in one movie. How many good jokes can there be left that haven't been used.
