HOLLYWOOD - Former Frasier star Kelsey Grammer is eying a return to primetime TV by starring in the pilot for a new show--just weeks after his latest sitcom was axed by Fox.
Grammer's most recent TV project Back to You was cancelled earlier this month after only one season--with Fox blaming last year's writers strike for the falling ratings and ultimately the show's demise.
But the 53-year-old actor is keen to get back to work and has signed up to star in a pilot episode of new ABC comedy Roman's Empire.
The program will also star Nick Thune and Christine Woods.
