I hate Michael Bay but love Rainn Wilson. What will I do when these two competing forces smash together? I’m not really sure, but I can’t imagine Wilson and his Dwight-makes-right power will be enough to overcome Bay’s crappiness.
We shall soon see since, according to the MTV Movie Blog, Wilson has signed on to Transformers 2. During a preview screening for his upcoming movie, The Rocker, Wilson said he was going to playing a college professor in the toy-movie sequel. This will bring him into contact with Sam Witwicky, portrayed by Shia LaBeouf, who will be moving from high school to college with several cars and trucks in tow.
Wilson didn’t reveal anything else about the plot but said he plays “a professor that turns into a robot… that turns into a car.” He’s probably kidding. I’m glad to see Wilson getting a bigger movie (with a bigger payday,) but I wish it was something I wanted to actually see.
